Hello. My name is Saige Casady.  I am currently working on my senior project for The Class of 2011, at Lind High School. What I have decided to do for my project is to send care packages overseas to the troops for 18 months. I have also decided to split 9 months to Afghanistan and 9 months to Iraq.

My mother has always taught me to appreciate the troops for all they do for us.  She always walks up to any soldier she see’s, shakes their hand and simply say “Thanks for Serving”.  This always brings a smile to their face, and I would like to do the same.  Even if I can’t be there when they open or even receive these packages I will know that I have simply said “Thanks for Serving” and brought a smile to their face.

To be successful in my efforts I am praying for community support. This can come in many ways, donations, cash or products and supplies, shipping, advertizing, word of mouth, organization support, and of course, labor of love filling each care package.
